This is the first day of The Lost River Cave Civil War: Living History Days at Lost River Cave. This is a free event. Make sure to bring earplugs if you go when they will be firing a cannon. The Lost River Cave Civil War: Living History Days is back October 22-24, 2010 at Lost River Cave. This is a free event. Make sure to bring earplugs if you go when they will be firing a cannon. Just saying. They have many great photo opportunities there. Here is a photo from a Civil War Dresses booth I saw there in 2008: Civil War Dresses for Sale.

A free adult computer class is today at the BG Main library. Call 781-4882 to pre-register. This class will be about MS for Beginners.

BG Main library will also hold a Write Sketch Watch program for teens at 6:00. Call for more info. at 781-4882.

The WKU Chess club meets tonight at 6-9 p.m. at the Faculty House at WKU behind Cherry Hall at the log cabin. and is open to the public and all skill levels. Bring your own chess set.

Tuesday, September 21st

A Free adult computer class is at the Main Library at 6-7 p.m.: Introduction to Computers for Spanish Speakers. You must pre-register for this class. Call 781-4882.

Wednesday, September 22nd
is World Car-Free Day. If possible, do not drive today. (I just found out about this today on Facebook...) Thursday, September 23rd

The Holy Spirit Catholic Church will have a ribbon-cutting today sponsored by the BG Area Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m. The site is 4754 Smallhouse Road (across from 3 Springs Park). 842-7777, http://www.bgchamber.com.

Two health screenings for men: (registration is required) You can get a Prostate Health exam if you are a man 40 years and older today at Physician's Specialty Center at 1325 Andrea, plus Greenview is also having a prostate-specific antigen testing today. The time for both of these events is 4-8 p.m. You must pre-register and get a reservation for this event by calling MedLine 800-242-5662.
