Thursday, Dec. 13th:
The WKU Hardin Planetarium has a free show at 7 p.m., "Doomsday". Seating is first-come, first-served, and opens 15 minutes before the show.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever plays at the Phoenix Theater at 7 p.m.





Friday, Dec. 14th:
Madeline's Christmas is playing at WKU's Van Meter Theater. http://www.aetf-inc.com.

From the WCVK Community Happenings page: "12/15/12 Living Hope Baptist Church, Bowling Green, Ky. Student Missions invites you to a Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 15th from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. The morning will consist of pancake breakfast, bake sale as well as craft sale. It will be located in the student center which is the Old Holy Spirit building. For more information please contact: Natalie Clemmons at 270-991-5166."






Saturday, Dec. 15th:

Breakfast with Santa is at Chaney's today (you must be pre-registered) from 8-9:30.

State Street and 6th has a State Street Christmas Village from 10-4 with booths, games, and more. 782-0222.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is at 8 p.m. at PTK. 781-6233

Lost River Cave Wildflower Gift Shop has a Sip and Shop event from 11-3.

Faith UMC and Friendship Community Church in Alvaton both have Live Nativities today.

Eastwood Baptist Church has a Down Home Christmas musical at 6 p.m.

SKyPAC has the Caveman Chorus at 7 p.m.

Worship Ministry invites you to their Christmas musical “A Down Home Christmas” on Saturday, December 15th and Sunday December 16th at 6:00 pm. There is a special $1 admission to the Corvette Museum today from 8-5. They have a Country Cars and Stars exhibit showing too.





Tuesday, Dec. 18th
The Main Library has Meet Santa today from 5-7 p.m. Call for details: 781-4882.

Today is the Winter Solstice and Yule

Little Women plays at the Capital at 7:30 p.m.

Friday and Saturday, Dec. 7th and 8th: From the WCVK Community Happenings Page:
"12/7 & 12/8 Houchens Center, 1115 Adams Street, Bowling Green, Ky. Will be having Craft Shopping Days on Friday and Saturday December 7th and 8th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be a variety of craftspeople and vendors selling unique items. A bag lunch of homemade goodies will be available for purchase. For more information please call: 270-842-6761."

Sunday, Dec. 9th: The National Corvette Museum has Sleigh Rides with Santa today from 1-3. You must call for reservations before going. 781-7973.

The BG Women's Club Christmas Home Tour is today from 1-5.

The WKU Hardin Planetarium has a free show at 2 p.m., "Doomsday". Seating is first-come, first-served, and opens 15 minutes before the show.

The WKU Children's Theater is showing "Greek Gods" at 3 p.m. at Gordon Wilson Lab Theater.  Tickets are only $5.00 each.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever plays at the Phoenix Theater at 3 p.m.

Little Women plays at the Capital at 3 p.m.

The Presbyterian Church downtown has its annual Lessons and Carols service at 4 p.m. 843-4707.





Monday, Dec. 10th:

Today is Dollar Days at the National Corvette Museum. Admission for Kentucky residents today is only $1.00. This is so worth it!

Greenwood Mall has a St. Nick's Pet Pix event today. Bring your pet for a picture with Santa at 6 p.m. Find out more: 782-9047.





Tuesday, Dec. 11th:

The South Central Ky. Coalition on Homelessness meets today at 9 a.m. at the ALIVE Center. 270-256-4709.

The WKU Hardin Planetarium has a free show at 7 p.m., "Doomsday". Seating is first-come, first-served, and opens 15 minutes before the show.






Wed., Dec. 12th:
The WC Public Library has a Jewelry Making Workshop at the Main branch library downtown. They will make beaded snowman earrings today. It is at 5 p.m. You must pre-register to attend.  781-4882.

The Bob  Kirby Branch library offers another free class, Introduction to Social Networking, at 2:30 p.m. You must pre-register to attend. Call 782-0252.

"9/21/12 Jody Richards Elementary School, Bowling Green, Ky. will he having their Fall Festival on September 21st from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. There will be inflatables and lots of games. "9/22/12 The South Central Kentucky Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be Saturday, September 22nd at Preston Miller Park, Bowling Green, Ky. Registration will begin at 9:00 am and the walk will begin at 10:00. Register your team online by visiting www.alz.org."

"9/29/12 The 2012 Out Of The Darkness Community Walk , Walk to Prevent Suicide , for Bowling Green will be on Saturday, September 29th at 9:00 am at Phil Moore Park, Alvaton, Ky. For more Information call: Darrell Traugber at 270-784-0960 and check out the website at www.outofthedarkness.org."

"9/29/12 HANDS (Housing Assistance and Development Services) is sponsoring a Free Homebuyer Education Class on September 29th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tomorrow Center in Bowling Green, Ky. "

September 29th is also the International Festival.

"10/6/12 South Central Kentucky Heart Walk & 5K Run will be at Kereiakes Park, Bowling Green, Ky. On October 6th 8:00 am with the walk and run starting at 9:00 am. There will be breakfast, silent auction, a Kids Zone, Dog Zone, health booths set up along with a award ceremony at the end. For more information contact Michelle Alloway at 270-846-5061."

Today the Bowling Green Retirement Village's Art for the Ages Art show continues. 842-5433.

A free computer class, Email for Beginners, is today from 2-3 at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Another free computer class is today, Microsoft Excel Basics, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Main Branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

The Smiths Grove Branch library also has a free computer class today,  Learn to Pinterest, from 6-7:30 p.m. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.

Today the Bowling Green Retirement Village's Art for the Ages Art show continues. 842-5433.

The National Corvette Museum has a travelling exhibit that tells stories and has photos and more about 9-11. It is called The World Trade Center: Rescue, Recovery, Response. The Museum is "$10 Adults, $8 Seniors, $5 Youth (6-16), Under 6 Free, Family (same household) $25, Active Military Free. Various discounts and coupons available. Friday, September 14th

Cabaret for a Cause is tonight at 8 p.m. at the Phoenix Theater at 545 Morris Alley, to raise money for the Catherine Heltsley Foundation for Breast Cancer. 781-6233.

A 55 and Over Senior Dance and Potluck is tonight from 6-9 p.m. at the Old Alvaton Gymnasium off Highway 231 in Alvaton. Music will be by Wayde Phillips. More info: 270-318-4514.

A free concert featuring a Violin and Piano duo, featuring Ching-Hi Lin and Graciella Kowalczyk,  is tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the WKU  Van Meter Auditorium.

"9/15/12 The “Running For St. Jude 5K and 1 Mile Walk" will be on September 15th At Phil Moore Park Alvaton, Ky. Registration starting at 7:30 am. With races following afterwards at 8:00 for the 5K run and 8:30 the 1 Mile Walk. The cost is $20 for the run and $15 for the walk. You can register online at active.com or stop by Trax Running to pick up a registration form. For more information please call: Marshall at 270-991-3936."

Tuesday, September 4th
 The Graham Drive branch library has a Mac Lab today from 3-5 p.m. Call for more info: 781-1441.

HOTEL, Inc. has a Homeless Outreach meeting today from 5-6 p.m. at 1005 Boatlanding Road. Call 782-1263 for more info.

Author Rick Bragg speaks at 6 p.m. at the Main Branch library. Tickets are available at all library locations.

There is a free Planetarium showing at 7 p.m. at the WKU Hardin Planetarium, Curiosity on Mars. It is first-come, first-served seating.

Wednesday, September 5th
It is the 5th Anniversary of the Historic RailPark and Train Museum. You can get into the museum for $5.00 today if you ention the anniversary. 745-7317.

Chaney's Dairy Barn has a Corn Maze today from 10-9.

A Writing Workshop happens today with Author Neil White from 3-5 p.m. at the Knicely Conference Center Room 12. This event is free.

Balloons, Tunes, and BBQ starts today at 5 p.m. with Kids Night at the Bowling Green Warren County Airport.

SKyPac has Candlebox in Concert at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25.00.

There is a free Planetarium showing at 7 p.m. at the WKU Hardin Planetarium, Curiosity on Mars. It is first-come, first-served seating.

Friday, September 7th
The Special Olympics Softball State Championships are being held today at Buchanon Park.

A free computer class is today from 10 - 11:30 a.m. at the Smiths Grove Branch library, "Microsoft Word Intermediate. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.

The Balloons, Tunes and BBQ event continues today at 4 p.m. at the Bowling Green Warren County Airport.

Also Ice Cream and a MooVie is happening at Chaney's Dairy Barn at 7 p.m. (dusk). Tonight the movie is Happy Feet 2.

The 48th Annual Antique Show and Sale is today from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 911 Searcy Way. Proceeds will benefit local community projects.

The Fourth Wall Ensemble (Flute, trombone, and percussion) plays today at WKU's Fine Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. This concert is free.745-3751.

"9/15/12 The “Running For St. Jude 5K and 1 Mile Walk" will be on September 15th At Phil Moore Park Alvaton, Ky. Registration starting at 7:30 am.
