The Russell Sims Aquatic Park is having a Sunny Day Pool Party today sponsored by WKYU-PBS from 1-5. 745-2202.

Kirby Kids (for elementary school ages) meet today at 3:30 at the Bob Kirby Branch library.

The Fraternal Order of Police sponsors Ballroom Dance Lessons at 150 Corvette Drive at 7 - 8 p.m. The cost is  $7.00 per person. 782-5425.

The Bowling Green Gallery Hop is today from 5-8 p.m. Make sure to visit the Pots Place at 528 East Main street on the square. They will have special treats there for visitors donated by Mariah's. This is the Second Saturday Street Fair downtown in beautiful Fountain Square. Come downtown and visit all the shops and relax in the Square.

Beech Bend Park is open! They have a lot of events, races and more going on this month. Beech Bend is an amusement park, campground, and has a drag racing strip and oval track too! Check out their site to find out more. http://www.beechbend.com. I just picked up a brochure. So you know, all-day passes that include everything except go-carts and games are 29.99 for adults and 25.99 for children under 54 inches and seniors any size.

Granville Mitchell will exhibit his art at the Warren County (Main Branch) Public Library from 8-8 at the Porter Cafe through April 29th.

The C5/C6 Bash continues at the National Corvette Museum.

An event, Music, Moxie, and Mayhem (Or: Revolution Rocks) is today at 4:00 to midnight at Circus Square Park sponsored by Revolution 91.7 radio. This is a benefit for Moss Middle School's music program. Donations will be accepted. 

Phil Moore Park has an Arbor Day Celebration today from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Planting, craft tables, learning stations, and more will be there. Call Lisa Clary at 843-6665 for more info.

A free singing recital, Broadway and beyond,  is today at WKU's FAC Recital Hall featuring Liza Kelly and Tracey Moore. 745-3751.

Also May 14th is the Victorian Antique and Garden Festival from 9-4 at Hobson Grove.
The Wild Bird and Nature store at 901 Lehman Avenue has an Herb Festival Thursday, April 28 – Sunday May 8th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
May 2nd will be the first Apron Extravaganza.
May 20th WKU will officially open the Confucious Institute and the Chinese Learning Center.
May 21st is the Soap Box Derby.
May 21st is also a Vette City Roller Derby game. 
May 28th = the West Side Camp BBQ and Backyard Grilling Cook-Off
