Events in the Bowling Green Kentucky area from Sun.-Wed. July 22-25, 2012

Sunday, July 22nd
The Southern Kentucky Fair starts today. 842-7980  http://www.sokyfair.org. (They have a Beauty Contest to start out the Fair, but the rides start tomorrow.) This is from their site: "Monday, July 23rd - Rides on the Midway Open at 6pm!"

Monday, July 23rd
National Derby Rallies start today at Phil Moore Park, and continue through July 28th. Find out more: http://www.ndr.org/home.cfm and by calling 782-0800.

A free computer class is today,  Microsoft Word for Beginners, 10-11 a.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.


The Southern Kentucky Fair is from 6-10 p.m. Admission is $10 and includes events and rides. 842-7980 and http://www.sokyfair.org.


Lap Swim Workout time is from 7-9 tonight at the Russell Sims Aquatic Center. Admission is $4.00. 393-3271.


Tuesday, July 24th

Author William Paul Love, author of The Shack, will speak at 6 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, next to the Main branch library. You must have a (free) ticket to attend, which is available at all library locations. Find out more: 781-4882.

Wednesday, July 25
Today is the United Way Day of Caring. Call 843-4305 to see what project you can volunteer for today. You can sign up to help many groups today or donate money. http://www.unitedwaydayofcaring.com.

There is a free computer class for beginners today "Email for Beginners" from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Smiths Grove branch library today. You must pre-register to attend.  Call 563-6651.


Another free computer class is today from 6-7 p.m. at the Main branch library, "Introduction to Genealogy Resources". You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.
