This is the August 2010 - update #5.
Here are some fun events in and around Bowling Green, Kentucky for August. 
Note: they are not all free. 
I will be adding more (later events) this week too. 
Please be sure to check every event before attending, just in case.

Tuesday, August 24

From the Riverview at Hobson Grove site on Facebook:"Riverview at Hobson Grove is pleased to present the program "Nature's Bounty in Textiles" on Tuesday, August 24th at 11:30am. Sandy Staebell, the Registrar and Collections Curator at the WKU Kentucky Museum, will discuss how plants and animals interpret the glory of nature as design elements and pattern names in many historic textiles. Attendees have the opportunity to bring their own quilts and coverlets with natural themes to display and discuss afterwards. For further information, please call Riverview at 843-5565. $15 each. Thursday, September 2nd
BG League of Bicyclists Easy Rider Ride. Helmets are required. Starts at Keriakes Park. "Mostly flat -2 hour ride." Suitable for just about any rider and bike. Questions: Call 784-2836.

September 3 and 4 there will be Ice Cream and a Moovie, Over the Hedge, at Chaney's. 

Also: Keep the date: the International Festival is going to be held on September 25th, 9-7 at Circus Square Park.

Here are some fun events in and around Bowling Green, Kentucky for August. Note: they are not all free. I will be adding more this week. Please be sure to check every event before attending, just in case.

The Beyond the Vessel exhibit at Capital Arts continues until July 16.

Saturday, Nov. 14: Christ United Methodist church also has an old-fashioned Christmas Walk and Bazaar today. More info: all proceeds from this event will benefit missions. The event is being put on by United Methodist Women. It is their 17th annual event. They will have a silent auction and Grandma's Treasure Room too.
