More fun events!

Here are some fun events in and around Bowling Green, Kentucky for August. Note: they are not all free. I will be adding more this week. Please be sure to check every event before attending, just in case.

The Beyond the Vessel exhibit at Capital Arts continues until July 16.

August 3rd (from WBKO) Selected Community Events "School Supplies Scavenger Hunt Aug 3, 2010 3:30 to 5:30 pm
Daymar College, 2421 Fitzgerald Industrial Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42101
Daymar College will host a school supplies scavenger hunt! The first 250 school-age children who arrive will go on a scavenger hunt to find free school supplies. School-age children of all grades are welcome to participate and must be accompanied by an adult."

August 6 (from WBKO) "Old Style Supper and Auction Aug 6, 2010 4:30pm
The Presbyterian Church, 1003 State St., Bowling Green
Old Style Supper and Auction will provide needed resources for the Foster Grandparent Program...This event includes cash door prizes, cake walk, great food and a live auction of many items. The price for adults is $5 and children under 5 get in free. For more information about this event and Community Action of Southern Kentucky, please visit www.casoky.org."

 August 6th (from WCVK) "8/6/10 Church-wide garage sale at St. John United Methodist Church, Owensboro, will be Aug. 6 & 7, 7 a.m. each day. For more information call 683-6326."

Also from WCVK: "8/6/10 Agriculture Night at Chaney’s Dairy Barn, 9191 Nashville Rd., Bowling Green, will be Aug. 6, 6-8:30 p.m. The night will feature Kentucky Dept. of Agriculture’s Mobile Science Activities Center. There will be free hayrides, pony rides, local agriculture businesses, plus Ice Cream and a Moovie. For more information call 843-5567."

Yard Sale with tables to rent. - - -...Baby items to adult clothing. Small appliances and furniture. We will also be selling food and drinks. $10.00 for 1 table and $17.00 for 2 tables.
