Monday, 5-10-10 
The Red Cross will be having a blood drive today at the Warren Association of Baptists, located at 6448 Scottsville Road from 3-8 p.m. Phone 1-800-REDCROSS.


Tuesday, 5-11-10
Free Tennis Clinic for Adult Beginners. Kereikaes Park Tennis Courts. Contact Tim Kickert 270-393-3573 to register. Drop-ins are also welcome. 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A raffle and free food will be available at the Kickoff which is at the same time.

Wednesday, 5-12-10
WKU's graduating seniors show their art at the Kentucky Library and Museum from 9-4 today. Call 745-2314 for more info. Final portfolios will be on display.

1:00 p.m. - Performer of the Semester Recital. Free, Fine Arts Center. 745-3751.

5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Free wellness program for K-8 at the WKU Track and Field facility. 904-0136. http://www.lightofchance.org.

7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Bowling Green Community Drum Circle The Alive Center, BG. 746-5451.

Thursday, 5-13-10 
Red Cross Blood drive 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Service One Credit Union at 1609 Campbell Lane. 1-800-REDCROSS.

1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Free Hearing Screening at the Health and Wellness Center at the Greenwood Mall. 745-0942, registration is required.

Annual Teacher-Student Art Exhibit at Memphis Marsha's (free). 514 East 12th. 843-1726.

6:00 p.m. Famous author Jeffrey Deaver speaks at the Main Library about Fact, Fiction and Forensics. http://warrenpl.org/slideinfoFFF.html. You do need reservations, so contact the Main Library at 781-4882 or pick them up at the Bob Kirby Branch or the Main library before the event.

6:30 p.m. Making Origami for ages 6 and up at the Bob Kirby library. Pre-register at 781-4882, extension 224. Registration is required.

This (Thursday) is also Belly Dancing night at Anna's Greek Restaurant, which is located at 535 Three Springs Road. 846-2662.

Friday, May 14th
9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Limber for Life Exercise Class - Health and Wellness Center, Greenwood Mall. Call 745-0942.

10:00 a.m.  - 6:00 p.m. Raising Awareness of Alzheimer's Carnival. Magnolia Village, 1381 Campbell Lane. 843-0587.

3:30 p.m. Garden Stories and Planting Party at the BG Main Library. Registration is required. Ages 5 and up. Plant a flower seed. 781-4882.

11:00 a.m. - Western Kentucky Horse Sale at the WKU Ag Expo Center.

3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Bristow Elementary School Homecoming. 842-5730, extension 1512.

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Riverview at Hobson Grove will be offering a  Victorian Antiques and Garden Festival today. Jon Carlofti will be signing a book, accessories for home and garden will be on sale, annuals and perennials will also be on sale, and free lectures and garden information will be offered. 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. The Girl Scouts will be at the Hot Rods stadium today collecting electronic waste for the Forever Green Capstone Event. Find out more at the WNKY.net site here: http://www.wnky.net/community/events/91736199.html
You can bring electronic equipment, but not appliances. TV's and monitors with a glass front will require a $5 charge because they need to have gas discharged from them. All of the waste will be recycled. Questions: call Jessica Dilsaver at 270-842-8138.

Sunday, May 16
4:30 p.m. Co-Ed Sand Volleyball is offered by St. James United Methodist church each Sunday evening. The public is invited. 575 Winfield Drive. 842-4949.

Another coming event:
5-22-10 Put this date on your calendar if you love bike riding. BikeBG.org has a Lost River Cave Ride today. This is a free event, and if you are one of the first 20 riders, you will get a free cave tour admission. Helmets are mandatory for the rides.
