NEW-NEW - fun stuff to do this week includes new events (June 28 - July 2)
















Here are some things to do for Monday - Thursday, June 28 - July 2.

Monday, June 28

Auditions for Sweeney Todd - 5-8 p.m. Capital Arts Center, for Capital Arts Youth Theatre's Summer Musicals. (Grades 6-12)

Today is the last day to pre-register for the Cooking for the Garden presentation at the Warren County Extension Office on Thursday. Sample recipes from Betsy Ann Tracy, and get ideas of how to use fresh fruits and vegetables. 3132 Nashville Road, 842-1681.

Tuesday, June 29

The Bowling Green Hot Rods Baseball Team plays tonight (from WBKO News). Check for ticket prices and more info. at their site: http://bowlinggreen.hotrods.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t2498. Special incentive: if you order your tickets online you get FREE food.

Wednesday, June 30
1:30 p.m. The Secrets of Grimy, Grubby Gardening. Only $10.00 at Riverview at Hobson Grove with Kentucky author Karen Angelucci. Potting soil and plants are provided. Call to find out more (and probably pre-register) 270-843-5565.

Concert in the Park - Fountain Square Park, noon. Features the 202 Army Band. http://www.downtownbg.org.

Thursday, July 1
9:30 a.m. Free (first come, first served). Come early to get a seat. "Planet 51" will be showing. Great Escape Theater. 782-3112.

Friday, July 2
Grand Opening of Exxon Fastrac with ribbon cutting at 11:00 a.m. In front of the Ramada Inn 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 781-3000.

Mark your calendar for the Chaney's Dairy Barn Dinner and a Moo-Vie which will be July 9 and 10 at Chaney's Dairy Barn, outside at dusk. The movie will be Hotel for Dogs. Bring items for the animal shelter that day, to give to the Humane Society today. Go to their site for more fun events: http://www.chaneysdairybarn.com/ They also have tours by reservation only.

Also on July 8th will be another free concert, this time by the Lost River Cave Big Band at the Colonnades at Ivan Wilson, WKU, at 7 p.m. Contact Deloris Trammel deloris.trammel@wku.edu for more info.

Thunderfest at the National Corvette Museum Amhitheater. 3-10 p.m, fireworks at dark. http://www.bgkiwanis.org/thunderfest.
