Art Shows and Exhibitions

The VSA Exhibit is free and open to the public at the Garden Gallery at the Kentucky Library and Museum this month until March 21st. 745-2592.

Kendall McMinimy is showing his art at the WKU Ivan Wilson FAC Corridor Gallery from Feb. 16-March 23rd. 745-3944.


Capital Arts has a Scholastic Arts Exhibition 02/04 to 02/27.

A Modern Atomic Art exhibition will take place Feb. 18th  - March 25th at The Gallery at 916. http://www.thegalleryat916.com.

Martha Duff has an art exhibit at the Bob Kirby branch library through the 28th. 

Kay Zoretic's jewelry is exhibited at the Warren County Library main branch this month through the 28th. 781-4882.


The Regional Scholastic Arts exhibition 2011 is frm 9-5 through February 27th at the Capital Arts Galleries. 782-2787.


Sunday, Feb. 13th
A free WKU Faculty Trombone recital is today at 3 p.m. at the WKU Fine Arts Center Recital Hall. L. Blakeman will be the featured musician.

Public Theater of Kentucky is showing Romeo and Juliet today at 3 p.m.  at the Public Theater of Kentucky. Tickets are adults $13.00 and seniors and students $10.00. http://www.ptkbg.org.

The Lone Star Rodeo continues today at 2 p.m. at the Ag Expo Center. Check details and get tickets here.   or call 270-745-2578.

Tuesday, Feb. 15th

Community Education has a "Puppy Manners" class is today from 1-3 p.m. for puppies  that are 4 months old. Classes are 2/15-2/24, from 1-3 p.m., at the Pet Stop on Scottsville Road. Fee is $30.00 per family (one dog). Call 842-4281 to register and to get more information. 

A free computer class, Microsoft PowerPoint for Beginners, is today from 2-3 p.m. at the Main Branch library. You must pre-register to attend. 

There will be Black History Month activities at the Parker-Bennett Community Center today  from 4-5 p.m. Call 393-3249 for more information.

A free computer class, Computing for Seniors, is from 6-7 at the Main Branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

A Community Education class starts today, Gardening with Native Plants, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Kentucky Museum. You must register, call 842-4281. Price is $20 or $35.00 for 2. There are 3 sessions to this class.

Wednesday, Feb. 16th

A free computer class, Job Hunting Online, is today from 2-3 p.m. at the Main Library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882. 

Elementary school students can make a Black History collage today at the Graham Troopers meeting at the Graham Drive community library at 3:30 p.m. All materials are provied. Call 781-1441.


A free computer class, Introduction to Social Networking, is today at 6-7:30 p.m. at the Main Branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

A WKU Faculty recital (Col Legno) featuring Sarah (cello) and Mark Berry (Percussion) is tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the WKU Fine Arts Recital Hall. It is free to the public.  Call 745-3751 for more info.

St. James United Methodist Church at 575 Winfield Drive is offering Community Education classes at 6:30 p.m. Call for more information at 842-4949.
