Today - Potter Home tour, Tomorrow, Geocaching info. event



Today (Saturday, April 25th)

Tour of Potter Children's Home.

Tomorrow (Sunday, April 26th)
A Geocaching event - find out what Geocaching is. Bring your questions. Held at the BRIMS museum here in town. This sounds fun for Scout troops and for families.

The Graduating Seniors Art show is still happening at WKU too. Click to see a picture I found of the event.

The Kentucky Library and Museum is open today from 9:00 - 4:00 p.m. You can call 270-745-2952 to find out about tomorrow's schedule. (The calendar shows the Library is closed on Sunday, BUT the Museum is open from 1-4.)

Pick up SoKy Happenings

For those who haven't seen it yet, SOKY happenings is an oversize, colorful magazine reference guide to activities that is available in Bowling Green.

Some upcoming free or cheap events in the SOKY Happenings magazine coming up are:

1. Friday August 14th there is a Street Dance with Live Music at Circus Square Park. Find out more at http://www.duncanhinesfestival.com.

2. The same day there is Ice Cream and a Moovie at Chaney's Dairy Barn. Call 843-5567 or go to http://www.ChaneysDairyBarn.com for more info.

3. Appraisal Day is being held at the Kentucky Library and Museum on Saturday, August 16. Appraisers will "discuss and appraise items." See http://www.wku.edu/Library/kylm/events/appraisal.html.

4. Also on Saturday Aug. 16 is the Back to School Bash at St. James United Methodist Church at 575 Winfield Drive from 2-5 p.m. They will have FREE food, games, medals, and giveaways with an Olympic theme. (Their # is 842-4949 if you have questions).

5. The Festival of Sand Community Day is Saturday August 23rd at Russell Sims Aquatic Park, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can see all the prize-winning sand sculptures this day for free. Their website is here.
