Monday, June 18th
The District 6 4-H Horse Show is today starting at 8-8:30 a.m. They are showing miniature horses today. This event goes through June 21st. Find out more: http://ces.ca.uky.edu/warren/district6horse. Contact Janet Turely at 842-1681 or jturley@uky.edu for more information.

The Parker-Bennett Center has a Puppet Theater show at 10 a.m. at the Parker-Bennett Center presented by the Warren County library. 781-1441.

A free computer class is today at 10-11 a.m. at the Main branch library, "Learn to download eBooks and Audiobooks". You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-1441.

The Doug Berky Puppets have a show at the Main branch library today at 6 p.m. 781-4882.

Tuesday, June 19
The Fountain Square Business Association meets at 8 a.m. this morning at the Capital Arts Center, 2nd floor. More info: 843-6103

The Historic RailPark and Train Museum has RailTales for preschoolers today at 10:15. 745-7317.

A free computer class, Job Hunting Online, is today at 2-3 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Wednesday June 20
Today is Stand for Children day at the Bowling Green Ballpark. More info: Community Ed, 842-4281.

A free computer class, Computing for Seniors, is from 10-11 a.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Today from 12 noon to 1 p.m. is a Concert in the Park at Fountain Square Park in downtown Bowling Green. the E.J. Rider Band will be playing. Bring a blanket or folding chair.

Thursday, June 21
The WKU Chess Club meets at 6 p.m. at the WKU Faculty House. 918-809-6278.

The SoKy Concert Band plays in a free concert from 7-8 p.m. at the WKU Fine Arts Center Patio.

Friday, June 22
It is the Bowling Green High School Class of 1977 35th Reunion weekend. More info: 842-8828.

Chaney's has farm tours today. Check out this info. from their website:

Art Shows and Exhibitions
The VSA Exhibit is free and open to the public at the Kentucky Library and Museum this month until March 21st. 745-2592.

The Second Annual Public Art Hanging is through Feb. 12th at The Gallery at 916. Each vote costs $1.00. 843-5511.


Capital Arts has a Scholastic Arts Exhibition 02/04 to 02/27.


Monday, Jan. 31
Capital Arts Youth Theater is having auditions today (and tomorrow) from 6-8 p.m. for Grades 2-12 at the Pushin Building. Call 782-2787 for more information.  You can download information about the auditions here: http://www.capitolarts.com/cayt.html. From the Facebook Notes page:
"1.  Initial auditions will be Mon., Jan. 31 and Tues., Feb. 1 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Pushin Building (just down the block from the Capitol - please use the side entrance on College St.).  If necessary, callbacks will be Wed., Feb. 2 from 6:00-7:00. Auditions are open to young people in grades 2-12. To audition, simply show up either evening.  You will only need to attend one of the audition days, but be prepared to stay for the entire time.
2.  If you would like to try out, but can’t attend either of the initial audition days, please contact Carol Jordan at c.jordan01@insightbb.com to set up an alternative audition time."

St. James United Methodist Church at 575 Winfield Drive is offering Community Education classes at 6:30 p.m. Call for more information at 842-4949. Here is information from their website: "Wednesday Night Discipleship will start Cycle #3 on January 12.  Class offerings for this third cycle include:  "Women in the Bible" led by Marilyn Roberson, "Money Matters" led by John Yonts, "Introduction to Crochet" led by Sharon McElroy & Clarissa Moore, and also classes for youth and kids."

Another Funniest Kids Around audition is today at 5:30 p.m., ending at 8 p.m. at at Barnes and Noble. Call for more information: 746-9779. A Community Super Bowl Party is being held at Cornerstone Church today at 940 Bryant Way across from the mall on Scottsville Road. Doors are opening at 4 p.m. 16 foot screens, bring your favorite finger foods and a friend. Everyone is welcome. 

The Macy's Used Booksale is today at the L & N Depot. Today's hours are 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
