It's fun to shop there because you know your money is going to help local farmers and craftspeople. PLUS, much of the merchandise is natural and organic. Potter Laura Bain-Selbo is there many times with her fun pottery too.
We have two or more Farmer's Markets in this area.
The Community Farmer's Market is closer to where I live. They are at 2319 Nashville Road. Here is their link:

They are open Saturdays 8-1 and Tuesdays 2-6 (Winter hours). It is for Producers only.
It is year-round too. There are several other Farmer's Markets, but this is my favorite one. Look for the BG Farmer's Market to open in April, and possibly one downtown at Fountain Square this year. I hope that pans out.
