GET GIRL SCOUT COOKIES STILL!!
There are Girl Scout cookies for sale at the local Girl Scout office in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Get your Thin Mints or other favorite cookie! The Girl Scout office is located at 901 Lehman Avenue. Get there via 31-W and turn at Lehman. They are in a shopping center there. (Suite 7). Cookies are $3.50 per box, freeze well, and are great gifts.

Friday, May 10th: From the South Central Kentucky Coalition on Homelessness FB page: "Job Readiness Workshop, pass along the information to anyone this could benefit: Life & Money Matters, a job readiness and information workshop will be held at the Housing Authority of Bowling Green - Learning Center on 247 Double Springs Road. 

The event begins at 9:00AM; registration will open at 8:30AM - all workshops will conclude at 12:00PM. Several local service agencies are participating and free health screenings will be available. Information about personal empowerment such as couponing, health screening, stress management, and job readiness will be provided through 4 mini-workshops. Light refreshments will be served. 

There is no cost to attend and all residents within the community and surrounding areas are welcome. For more information call Susan Weber at 467-7156. "

"9/29/12 HANDS (Housing Assistance and Development Services) is sponsoring a Free Homebuyer Education Class on September 29th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tomorrow Center in Bowling Green, Ky. September 29th is also the International Festival.

October 5-7 is the Friends of the Library Used Book Sale at the L & N Depot.


"10/6/12 South Central Kentucky Heart Walk & 5K Run will be at Kereiakes Park, Bowling Green, Ky. On October 6th 8:00 am with the walk and run starting at 9:00 am. There will be breakfast, silent auction, a Kids Zone, Dog Zone, health booths set up along with a award ceremony at the end. For more information contact Michelle Alloway at 270-846-5061."

From the WCVK Community Happenings page:  "5/31/12 The Bowling Green Hot Rods are hosting a fundraiser for the Hope Center for Women, a faith-based recovery center in Scottsville, Ky. On May 31st 2012, game starting at 7:05 pm. With special guest Prisoners of Hope. For every ticket sold under the name Hope Center, the Hot Rods will make a donation to the Hope Center.
