Thursday, May 24
Today from 4-8, the Russell Sims Aquatic Center welcomes school kids from 4-8. Find out more: 393-3249.

From the WKU Events pages:  "6:30 p.m.  FILM SERIES: Shot Through the Heart. Mass Media and Technology Hall Auditorium. Part of WKU events in conjunction with the Seventeenth Convention of Bosniaks in North America. Contact Jerry Daday, 745-8764."

The WKU Chess club meets at 6 p.m. at the Faculty House.

The Phoenix Theater features a Dance Arts Showcase at 7 p.m. Tickets are just $4.00 each. 842-6811.

A Dance Images dance recital is tonight at 7 p.m. at WKU's Van Meter Hall. This event is free. 782-0514.

The Historic Railpark and Train Museum has Bobby Rascoe (Snowball Express) speaking at 8:30 a.m. Info: 745-7317. They also have RailTales for preschoolers at 10 a.m.

There is a Vette City Roller Derby game at 5 p.m. today at the Skate Box. It is a double header. Tickets are $10.  http://www.vettecityrollerderby.org/

The Holy Spirit Catholic Church will dedicate their new Labyrinth today at 11 a.m. with a special prayer service.

Beech Bend Park has NHRA Sports Nationals today starting at 10 a.m.

Bowling Green Retirement Village ends their Older Americans Month Celebration today with live music at 3 p.m. 842-5433.

A free computer class is offered today at 1-3 p.m. at the Main branch library, Introduction to Genealogy Resources. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Another free computer class is at 7-7:30 p.m. at the Main Branch library, Facebook Intermediate. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Wednesday, May 30
A free computer class on Internet Safety is today at 1 p.m. at the Bob Kirby branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 782-0252.

The 400 Mile Yard Sale starts today and goes through June 3rd along Highway 68.

A free computer class is today, Introduction to Value Line Investment Survey at the Main branch library at 10-11 a.m.  You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Another free computer class, Juicing for Beginners, is at 6 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

And yet another free computer class, Microsoft Excel Advanced, is at 6 -7:30 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

From the WCVK Community Happenings page:  "5/31/12 The Bowling Green Hot Rods are hosting a fundraiser for the Hope Center for Women, a faith-based recovery center in Scottsville, Ky. On May 31st 2012, game starting at 7:05 pm. With special guest Prisoners of Hope. For every ticket sold under the name Hope Center, the Hot Rods will make a donation to the Hope Center. For more information call Greg Heroy at 270-901-2121 ext. 101."
