Selected events in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area July 12-15, 2012

Here is my Betsyanne BG Calendar with selected events for the Bowling Green, Kentucky Area and around it - from Thursday, July 12th, 2012, to Sunday, July 15th.

Thursday, July 12th
A free computer class is from 10-11 at the Main branch library, "Intermediate Computers and the Internet". You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

A HUG (Helping U Give) Caregivers Support Group meets today at 5:30 p.m. at SKY Rehab on Campbell Lane. Info: 782-6900, ext. 203.

The WKU Chess Club meets at 6 p.m. at the WKU Faculty House. 918-809-6278.










Tonight is Seussical the Musical put on by our local group, Fountain Square Players, at WKU's Van Meter Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 - $14.00. Call 782-3119. (Dr. Seuss characters).

Seussical the Musical will also be presented on Friday at 8, Saturday at 8, and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Friday, July 13th
Tonight is Seussical the Musical put on by our local group, Fountain Square Players, at WKU's Van Meter Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 - $14.00. Call 782-3119. (Dr. Seuss characters).

There are Concerts in the Park(s) tonight from 6-10 at Fountain Square Park AND Circus Square Park. Find out more  at the WNKY Community Events page.

The Kentucky Ag Expo Center is the site for the RMHA/Rockey Mountain Kentucky State Championship Horse Show which starts at 9 a.m. All admission fees this year will go to the Center for Courageous Kids. Admission is $5.00, with children 12 and under free. 745-3976.

Beech Bend Raceway has the TENN-TUCK 2012 Triple Crown racing event today starting at 8 a.m. Open time trials are at 9-10:30 a.m. Find out more: http://www.beechbend.com/dragstrip.htm.

A free computer class is today: Microsoft Word, at the Smiths Grove Branch library from 10 - 11 a.m. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.

Chaney's has farm tours today. Check out this info. from their website:
..."11am & 1pm, we offer Family Farm Tours for individuals & families. $7/person - includes scoop of ice cream. Must be booked in advance. (270) 843-5567."

Saturday, July 14th
Today is a Second Saturday Street Fair on historic Fountain Square in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky from 9-4. Much fun is planned, including activities for the kids, music, food, and lots more. Bring the whole family. And say hi at The Pots Place! It's the blue building at 428 East Main, right on the Square.

Lost River Cave and Valley is having a Summer Music Festival today from 6 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit the new Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Reserved tickets bought in advance are $20.00 er person or $35.00 a couple, or $25. per person at the door. Free boat tours will be offered, and there will be Southern rock music on two stages. Russell Sims Aquatic Center has a Hawaiian Luau from 7-9 p.m. tnight with appetizers, games, and water fun. (270) 393-3271 or 1-866-382-1794. http://www.bgky.org/bgpr/aquatics/

Today is also the Reptile Expo at the Carroll Nicely Center from 10-4. http://kentuckyreptileexpo.com/.

A Southern Kentucky Team Penning Association event is today at the WKU Ag Expo Center starting at 10:30. 745-3976.

St. James United Methodist Church has a Southern Gospel Concert tonight at 6 p.m. featuring Southern Sound and South Land Quartets. 842-4949.
