Sky Farmer's Market Giveaway AND A reminder about the Bookfest Sat. April 18
SKY FARMER'S MARKET EARTH DAY GIVEAWAY - 7:00 - 12:00 - visit the Sky market and get a FREE fluorescent light bulb by signing a pledge. ALSO get a tree seedling. They are located in the Medical Center Parking lot.
INVASIVE PLANT PULL (6th annual!) is also today at Lost River Cave, 1:00 - 5:00. See the beautiful Lost River Cave area and do some good too. 393-0077.

9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday April 18th at Sloan Convention Center. More than 150 authors! Fun for the entire family. Check out their website here for more info: http://www.sokybookfest.org/ or call 745-5016. Authors will be there today and there will be a craft area and a Fancy Nancy Tea Party.

Events in the Bowling Green area
Here are a few big events in the Bowling Green area gleaned from Soky Happenings and from The Country Peddler Site.
Grand Opening of the Aviation Heritage Park - 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 16th at Basil Griffin Park, between Smallhouse Road and Three Springs. See their page at http://www.AviationHeritagePark.com.
Events planned include viewing of the Park, and meeting V.I.P. guests, including Guests of Honor Dan Cherry and Hong My, whose story is told in Cherry's book, "My Enemy, My Friend." Admission is FREE.
Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th at the Kentucky Museum: Historic Native American Days - 8:00 - 2:00. See Native American Reinactors and hands-on activities for children. Call for more info. 745-2592.
