Riverwalk and Weldon Peete Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky - some photos of a walk today.

**See my Events posting for March and April here.**

Today I went on a fun hike at Bowling Green's Riverwalk - and then at Weldon Peete Park.

We in Bowling Green, Kentucky have some of the best hiking trails around. Riverwalk was so windy, but the temperature was pretty nice.

Weldon Peete Park also has a Mountain Bike Trail. I took some photos of the ground we covered today.

I enjoyed our walk. I took some photos today too. Here are a few of my favorites:

Bike trail at Weldon Peete Park.

Neat tree at Weldon Peete Park.

And here is a link to all of the photos: Riverwalk and Weldon Peete Park in Bowling Green, KY.

I can't wait to go back.

Concave 34 - posting #2. It's all about parties in 2013.

Concave (this weekend in Bowling Green, Kentucky) has plenty of room parties, like many science fiction conventions.

Sometimes these parties try to get votes for conventions. Sometimes they don't. But aways, they are imaginative. Even the signs are!

Here are parts of a couple of them:

Great Scott! It's Back to the Future!

Uh-oh! Watch out for Vampires!

Of course, there are lights, cameras, and refreshments too. And sometimes you get a sticker for your official Concave Membership lanyard I.D. too.

Wait a minute! Who's that monster??

Oh - - Here is the welcome sign, though I hope to get a better photo of it today.

There are more photos on my Facebook photo page.

Plus here is a posting on the Moon and the Willow tree too about Concave.

Garden Dreaming... do you plan to have a garden this year?

Here are some Garden Plans for the Garden Spot in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
ALL THINGS GROW WITH LOVE. Photo by mueritz on Flickr.

Every year in January AND February, I get excited about my garden.

It's fun to think about what to put in it each year. Will it be the same this year? What will I add? What will my garden look like?

I want to get some Heritage Plants this year or next. Saving seeds is a great idea.

A raised garden is also a possibility.

Some plants I always like are tomatoes, peppers, and some flowers, like marigolds, snapdragons and lilies.

Hollyhocis - so pretty! By ValerieZinger on Flickr.

Some other things I would LOVE to plant  are celeriac, herbs, potatoes, hollyhocks, and lilies of the valley.

I wrote a Squidoo Lens here about Organic Gardening too. There are some other Kentucky gardening blogs there.

Do you have a garden?

What do you plan to grow this year?

I am interested to know! Leave a comment about YOUR garden plans!

Valentine's Day 2013, Projects, BG Events, more

I hope you had a GREAT Valentine's Day, full of laughter and joy.
My sweetie Rickey took me out to lunch and gave me another great Valentine's card AND candy. The candy treat was wild - - chocolate covered jelly beans. I got a mouthful of chocolate with every gummy bite.

This beautiful watercolor is from HerryLawford on Flickr.

Projects, projects, projects!
I have not had time to go to any fun BG events lately. I have several projects on my proverbial plate, as I know my readers have had too.

Today I start on TAXES, and then must EDIT my book(s), and keep my blogs and websites up to date.

I am also posting on the BGAMUG Computer Club blog to keep it updated.

Blogging should be done regularly, I know!
So I will still be updating THIS blog. Do you have a blog? List it as a comment so I can go and visit.

The BG Event Site page here lists all kinds of links where you can find out what is going on in town.

This Events Blog listing daily events has become a much loved duty, but it's been taking too much time away from my writing and other projects.

I may still post some outstanding events occasionally.

I suggest picking up the SOKY Happenings at Barnes and Noble bookstore for now, and also checking the links here and on the WCVK Community Happenings website page regularly.

For now, I'll keep all my sites and blogs going, PLUS do all my projects.

I will be back here soon!

Until then, have a WONDERFUL week.
