Tuesday, August 14
The South Central Kentucky Coalition on Homelessness meets at 9 a.m. at the ALIVE Center. Find out more: http://www.sckyhomeless.org
The Graham Drive branch library has  a Mac Lab today from 3-5 p.m. Call to find out more: 781-1441.
A free computer class, Intro to Ebay, is today at 6 p.m. at the Bob Kirby branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 782-0252.

Another free computer class, Microsoft Word for Beginners, is today at 6 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.
The SoKy Community Children's Chorus auditions are today at 6-7:30 p.m. at the Carrol Knicely Conference Center for grades 4-7. You need to pre-register by calling 745-1912.

This is the first day of the Doll Quilt Workshop at Riverview at Hobson Grove for ages 8-12 starting at 3:30 p.m. Call to see if there is an opening. 843-5565. This is a two-day event. You must pre-register to attend by emailing Laura Southard at riverview.at.hg@att.net. The cost is only $5.00 per person. From the City website: "In this two day workshop, each child will learn to piece together and create a small quilt for their doll's bed.".

Wednesday, August 15
This is the second day of the Doll Quilt Workshop at Riverview at Hobson Grove for ages 8-12 starting at 3:30 p.m. You must be pre-registered to attend. Call to see if there is an opening. 843-5565. This event started yesterday.
A free computer class is today, Email For Beginners, at 2 p.m. at the Bob Kirby branch library. You mut pre-register to attend. Call 782-0252.
Another free computer class is today, Email for Beginners, at 6-7 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.
Thursday, August 16
Kids on the Block is doing a presentation on Bullies and School Safety today at the Bob Kirby branch library at 4 p.m. Find out more: 782-0252.
The WKU Chess Club meets at 6 p.m. at the WKU Faculty House. 918-809-6278.











The Public Theatre of Kentucky presents Honk! Jr.: the Musical at 7 p.m. tonight at the Phoenix Theater at 545 Morris Alley. Tickets are 8 and 10 dollars.

Friday, August 17
A free computer class is today from 10-11 a.m., Facebook for Beginners, at the Smiths Grove branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.

The AARP meets today from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church. The meeting is a potluck. Call for more info: 782-0712.
Tonight is Concerts in the Park! Both downtown squares will be alive with sound from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

The Public Theatre of Kentucky presents Honk! Jr.: the Musical at 7 p.m. tonight at the Phoenix Theater at 545 Morris Alley. Tickets are 8 and 10 dollars.
There is a Garden Party at the Cave... which cave? Lost River Cave. This will benefit the BGWC Humane Society. Tickets are $40.00 each. More info: 783-9404.

August 18th is also Orchestra Kentucky and SKyPAC presents Sgt. Pepper on Abbey Road with the Rewinders at 7:30 p.m. http://www.orchestrakentucky.com/

August 19th Lost River Cave has a free class, Introduction to Geocaching, at 1-3 p.m. at the Birch Room.Find out more: 393-0077.

September 29th is the International Festival.
