11-1-11 through 11-30-2011: This is Military Appreciation Month at the Corvette Museum. From the KentuckyLiving site: "All those who have served and their immediate families receive free museum admission."

From the WCVK Community Happenings page: "...Winter Market located in the parking lot of the the old Bowling Green Mall at the instersection of Nashville Rd. and Campbell Lane, is open every Saturday through December 17th from 8:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m with fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, canned items, crafts, artwork and lots of gifts ideas from local farmers and artisans. Hot Breakfast, live music and much more. This event is sponsored by Community Farmer Market."

Sunday, November 27th
The ALIVE Center at 1818 31-W offers an (East) Indian Culture and Heritage (ICH) and Language Class from 10 a.m. to 12 noon today at the ALIVE Center. Languages taught are Hindi, Gujarati and Telegu. More info: 270-746-9508 or 502-544-7221.

WKU's REDz Rec Center at the Downing University Center (DUC)'s 4th floor is open to the public today from 2 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. The fee is only $3.00 per person. Find out more: http://www.wku.edu/duc/redz-4th-floor.php.

Monday, November 28th
The Bob Kirby Branch library has Toddler Time at 9:30 a.m. for ages 18-36 months, and Kirby Kids at 3:30 p.m. for elementary age students. 782-0252.

The Main branch library has Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m.
 
Tuesday, November 29th
The Bowling Green Main library has Toddler Time at 9:30 a.m. and Spanish Explorers at 4 p.m. 781-4882.

The new TV series, The River, premieres today at 8 Central on local Channel 9, WBKO.

The Main Branch library has a free computer class, Introduction to Microsoft Word, at 6-7 p.m. You must pre-register to attend. Cal 781-4882. They also have a Terrific Tuesdays Book Club meeting at 6:30 p.m. for ages 8 and up. They are reading From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.

Wednesday, November 30th
The WKU Chess club has a FREE Play session today at Barnes and Noble at 9 a.m. to 12 noon. All skill levels and the public are invited.  You may want to bring your chess set. Find out by calling 918-809-6278.

The Bob Kirby branch library has Kirby Babies at 9:30 a.m. for ages 6-18 months. 782-0252. They also have a free computer class today, Introduction to Macs, at 3-4 p.m.  You must pre-register to attend the class. 782-0252.
