Feb. 18 The Far Away Places series will feature Ghana. (Free program). This program is by Saundra Ardrey from the Department of Political Science at WKU. This speaker will be featured at Barnes and Noble at 7 p.m. Find out more about the program here: http://www.wku.edu/library/faraway/
Feb. 18: A free concert "The History of Jazz" for the community by flutist and lecturer Galen Abdur-Razzaq will be at the BG Technical College at 7-9 p.m. The audience is invited to "sit in" with Galen too. This is presented for Black History Month. Here is a description from the BGTC site:
"Galen Abdur-Razzaq is one of the most popular musicians and lecturers on college and university campuses. He has received rave reviews from many institutions such as California State Polytechnic University, Georgia Southwestern, University of Maryland, University of West Florida, University of Minnesota, Tuskegee University, University of Wisconsin, The Ohio State University, Miami Dade Community College, Hillsborough Community College and Kansas State University. A former student of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and a graduate of Rutgers University, Galen holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts and Education."

Feb. 20: Model Train Show and Sale by the Modular Model Railroad Club of Southern Kentucky. Location is at the Historic Railpark and Train Museum. Lenten Fish Fries will be held all through the month on Fridays from 5-7 p.m. starting on February 19th by the Knights of Columbus at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 911 Searcy Way.
