Events this weekend, a help Sandy victims link, more

 Friday, November 2nd
The Symphony at WKU features Ching-Yi Lin on violin at 7:30 p.m. at Van Meter Hall, WKU. Tickets are $25.00 at the door, and $5.00 for students.

Orchestra Kentucky has "Shower the People: The Music of James Taylor" at 7:30 pm. at SKyPAC. 904-1880.

Saturday, November 3rd
The Ag-Expo Center features the Gypsy Horse National Show today. 745-3976.

Packet pickup for tomorrow's BG 26.2 & Half Marathon race is tonight at 4-7 p.m. at First Baptist Church on East 12th Avenue. Find out more here: http://www.bg262.traxrunning.com. This event benefits MS.

The Red Cross has a Holiday Bazaar today from 8-4 at 1647 Scottsville Road.

Warren East HS Cheerleaders also have a Holiday Bazaar from 9-2 with vendors at the Warren East HS Gym. 270-535-7783.

Fountain Square has a Holiday Hop today from 10-4.

The World's Greatest Studio Tour is today from 10-5. http://www.worldsgreateststudiotour.com.

WKU's Children's Theater has a play, Ana and the White Crane, at 1 p.m. AND 3 p.m. at the Gordon Wilson Lab Theater. Tickets are $5.00 each. From the Dept. of Theater and Dance page: "In this stylish retelling of a Japanese folktale, Ama and her White Crane must ascend Mount Sumeru in order to defeat the Demon with the Changeable Face. Along the way they make new friends and overcome their greatest fears." 

The Public Theater of Kentucky presents Blood Money at 8 p.m. at 545 Morris Alley. 781-6233. Read the Daily News article about it here: Blood Money.

Sunday, November 4th
Today is the end of Daylight Savings Time. Clocks go back 1 hour at 2 a.m.

The 1st annual BG 26.2 &I Half Marathon is today starting at 6 a.m.. http://www.bg262.traxrunning.com. This event benefits MS.

The World's Greatest Studio Tour continues today from 1-5.

The WKU Hardin Planetarium show is "PlanetQuest: Discovering New Worlds Around Other Stars" at 2 p.m. This show is free. Doors open 15 minutes before the show. It is first-come, first-served seating.
