Will there be an Ice Storm in my area? Maybe...

Waiting on the weather...

It may ice up around here soon. I will cross my fingers until then...

There was an ice storm in the area that I can remember several times. The worst one broke many branches off the Weeping Willow tree in the yard and made a lot of strange sounds that woke me up. The strangest sound besides the plop-plop-plop sound of tree limbs falling all over the place was the utter silence of the whole neighborhood.

No car sounds, just nothing. No other sounds, except the pinging of sleet.

Of course, the ice on the electric lines weighed them down, and the whole area did not have power for days. So it's all about listening and sneaking a peek outside every so often.

Stay warm!
