Some more free or cheap events in the BG area
From the WCVK site and the Chaney's Dairy Barn site:
"Now-4/15 The Barren River Asset Building Coalition will offer free tax preparation to low/moderate income taxpayers during the 2010 tax season. They will operate 10 sites serving the Barren River district. For information about locations and eligibility requirements, call 1-800-928-1183 or visit www.brabc.com."
Chaney's Celebrity Scoop day is April 17th, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrities attending include Brett Guthrie, Sheriff Peanut Gaines, Warren Co. Attorney Amy Milliken, and Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon. 100% of proceeds today will benefit the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Chaney's Dairy Barn is located at 9191 Nashville Road, phone 270-843-5567.
The Critical Mass bike ride will be held Friday, April 30th starting at the Guthrie Tower, WKU. Find out more here at the Moon and the Willow Tree blog.

(from WCVK) 4/16/10 Bristow Elem. PTO will have a Live Auction & Spaghetti Supper at Warren East High School, Bowling Green, April 16. Preview begins at 5 p.m., supper at 5:30 p.m., and auction at 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Bristow Elem. Playground Fund. For more information call 320-7743.

It's tax time in Bowling Green - and there is FREE help from AARP!
Yup, it’s that time again. And seniors and low-income people can find a FREE tax service to help them with their taxes again this year.
The Bowling Green Library has dates and times posted for the annual AARP Tax Workshops online at their home page at http://www.bgpl.org/. AARP free services will start on February 4th (a Monday) at the Tomorrow Center at 1133 Adams Street and continue through Thursday.
Walk-ins are welcome anytime from 9 to 2. Some Saturday times may also be available. People are asked to call 270-796-4176 for more information.
The 2008 U.S. government filing pages are here:

and include an efiling button on the right.
You can also file online using an authorized tax provider on this site.
