Tuesday, July 24th
Today the BGAMUG Computer Club has a presentation about Simple Backups and also one on External Backups at 6:30 p.m. 
The BGAMUG Computer Club meets at Bowling Green Technical College, 1845 Loop Street, Building F, Bowling Green, KY (see the map by scrolling down at this website.) Guests are always welcome, and the presentations are free.

National Derby Rallies continue today starting at 7 a.m. at Phil Moore Park, and continue through July 28th. Find out more: http://www.ndr.org/home.cfm and by calling 782-0800.

Author William Paul Love, author of The Shack, will speak at 6 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, next to the Main branch library. You must have a (free) ticket to attend, which is available at all library locations. Find out more: 781-4882.

Wednesday, July 25
Today is the United Way Day of Caring. Call 843-4305 to see what project you can volunteer for today. You can sign up to help many groups today or donate money. http://www.unitedwaydayofcaring.com.

There is a free computer class for beginners today "Email for Beginners" from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Smiths Grove branch library today. You must pre-register to attend.  Call 563-6651.

Another free computer class is today from 6-7 p.m. at the Main branch library, "Introduction to Genealogy Resources". You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

Thursday, July 26

There is a Kentucky Junior Livestock Expo today at the WKU Ag Expo Center starting at 8 a.m. Find out more: VisitBGKy KY Junior Livestock Expo


A free computer class is today, Learn a Language with PowerSpeak, from 10-11 a.m. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.


Another free computer class is today, Microsoft Excel for Beginners, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Smiths Grove Branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.


Chaney's has farm tours today. Check out this info. from their website:
..."11am & 1pm, we offer Family Farm Tours for individuals & families. $7/person - includes scoop of ice cream. Must be booked in advance. (270) 843-5567."

The Kentucky Junior Livestock Expo continues today at the WKU Ag Expo Center starting at 6 a.m. Find out more: VisitBGKy KY Junior Livestock Expo

The Vette City Big Birds event is today starting at 7 a.m. This event is sponsored by the Southern Kentucky Model Aero Club. From the rc universe site: "Hey guys! This year we are excited to tell you about our event here in southern KY hosted by www.taildraggerrc.com . All giants are welcome!! IMAA legal. All types considered are welcome as well, warbird, scale, jets, and ESPECIALLY 3D!!! We have a beautiful 800' paved runway with 100' smooth grassrunoffs, shade tree's, and ELECTRICITY. Food available on site.
RV's and camping welcome!! 20.00 landing fee
DATE: JULY-27-29th
Saturday night will have a pilot dinner, live music, and night flying!!
Flyer will be out soon!!

The Historic Railpark and Train Museum has an All Aboard Series talk today at 8:30 a.m. by author Dan Lee from Hardin County. He will speak on the L&N Railroad in the Civil War. This talk is free. Find out more: "All Aboard" monthly meetings at the Historic Railpark and Train Museum (their site).

Beech Bend Raceway has NHRA Drag Racing today starting at 10 a.m. From their web page:

"July 29th:  Sunday NHRA Championship Drag Racing, Gates open at 11am;  Time Trials at Noon;  First Round Following Second Time Trial, Plus High-Flyin' High-Windin' Super Stock/Stock Combo Cars!"
 
There is a Bridal Show today, Kentucky Bridal Fest, at the Sloan Convention Center from 12-4 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. You can also pre-register to get a free guest ticket.
