Some fun events July 9-12 in the Bowling Green, Kentucky area

Here is my Betsyanne BG Calendar for the Bowling Green, Kentucky Area and around it - from Monday, July 9th through Thursday, July 12th, 2012.

Monday, July 9th
Chaney's has farm tours today. Check out this info. from their website:
..."11am & 1pm, we offer Family Farm Tours for individuals & families. $7/person - includes scoop of ice cream. Must be booked in advance. (270) 843-5567."








A free computer class is today: Email for Beginners, at 2-3 p.m. at the Main branch library. You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

The Skatebox is having a "Skate for BRIMS" event at 6 p.m. benefiting the BRIMS Science Museum. Tickets are $5.00 per person. More info: 843-3394.









Tuesday, July 10th
This morning at 8 a.m. upstairs at the Princess Bldg. downtown on Main Street (next to the Pots Place) is the Fountain SQuare Business Assoc. meeting. It is free and open to the public. 843-6103.

The South Central Kentucky Coalition on Homelessness meets this morning at 9 a.m. at the ALIVE Center on the ByPass.

The Graham Drive branch library has  Mac Lab today from 3-5 p.m. You may need to pre-register. Call 781-1441 to find out.

Actress Mary McDonough (Erin Walton on the TV show The Waltons) talks about her book, "Lessons from the Mountain: What I Learned from Erin Walton" at 6 p.m. Pick up free tickets at any library location. 781-4882.

The BG-WC Jaycees meet at 7 p.m. at the Pavilion at the Lampkin Park Fairgrounds. Visitors are welcome. http://www.bgjaycees.com.
 

Wednesday, July 11th
The ALIVE Center has a class in cultural sensitivity training class - Working with Diverse Communities today from 9-11 a.m. You need to pre-register by calling 782-0082. The cost is $10.00. 
 
Thursday, July 12th
A free computer class is from 10-11 at the Main branch library, "Intermediate Computers and the Internet". You must pre-register to attend. Call 781-4882.

A HUG (Helping U Give) Caregivers Support Group meets today at 5:30 p.m. at SKY Rehab on Campbell Lane. Info: 782-6900, ext. 203.

The WKU Chess Club meets at 6 p.m. at the WKU Faculty House. 918-809-6278.











Tonight is Seussical the Musical put on by our local group, Fountain Square Players, at WKU's Van Meter Auditorium at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8.00 - $14.00. Call 782-3119. (Dr. Seuss characters).

Seussical the Musical will also be presented on Friday at 8, Saturday at 8, and Sunday at 3 p.m.

July 14th is Second Saturday in downtown Bowling Green. See craft booths, fun kids' activities, music, food, and lots more today. And say hi at The Pots Place!
July 14th is the Southern Summer Music Festival at Lost River Cave to help fun their new Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Find out more.
July 14th is also Ice Cream and a Moo-Vie at Chaney's at dusk.
July 25th is the United Way Day of Caring. You can sign up to help many groups today or donate money. http://www.unitedwaydayofcaring.com.

July 30 is a Summer Stroll on Loop and Skyline Village.
