More about the animal shelter

Find a Pet!
(more about the shelter...)

You can get a pet for $75.00 at the local animal shelter. Here is the link:

http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/KY18.html

Here is what your money covers (copied directly from the website)

"1 Office Visit & Health Check
1 Spay or Neuter ~ Must be Altered Before Going Home
1 Rabies Shot, Certificate and Tag
1 DA2PPV Vaccination
(follow-up boosters and office call are the adopters' responsibility)
1 De-Worming
1 Heartworm Test on Dogs/Puppies 6 Months and Older
1 FREE month of SHELTER CARE Insurance
Mandatory Microchipping through 24PetWatch
& 1 FREE TRAINING SESSION W/ DOG'S DAY OUT TRAINER, PAMELA BROWN
"

Compare that to what people are charging for pets in the paper... of course, there can be FREE pets in the paper. But the Humane Society does everything you see above: their shots, spaying or neutering, etc.

They are even putting microchips in your new pet for only $20.00 with no annual fee now which I really like.

This is the local Bowling Green Humane Society website. When you scroll down, you can see a photo of the cat that has been at the shelter the longest.
