Today the Ladies of Charity Consignment Sale started in Nashville. It was so fun! They will have lots more stuff there later on too.

Saturday, 9-22-2012

The Walk to End Alzheimer's registration begins at 9, and the walk at 10 a.m. at Preston Miller Park today. More info: 502-451-4266. From the WCVK Community Happenings Page:
"9/22/12 The South Central Kentucky Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be Saturday, September 22nd at Preston Miller Park, Bowling Green, Ky. Registration will begin at 9:00 am and the walk will begin at 10:00. Register your team online by visiting www.alz.org."

A free Job Hunting Online computer class is at the Smiths Grove branch library today from 10-11 a.m. You must pre-register to attend. Call 563-6651.

A free concert featuring the Kentucky Men's Chorus is today at 6 p.m. at WKU's Van Meter Auditorium. 745-5923.

SKyPAC features The Capital Steps at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 o $30. 904-1880.

The WKU Chorale Fall Concert is today at 4 p.m. at First Christian Church. 745-3751 and 745-5923 (Paul Hondorp). Admission is $5.00 for general admission, and $3.00 for students.

A Faculty Chamber Recital is also today at 7:30 p.m. with Heidi Alvarez and Donald Speer at the WKU Fine Arts Center. (RH) This recital is free and open to the public, and features flute and piano.  745-3751. http://visitbgky.com/events/detail/wku-faculty-chamber-recital/.

Monday, 9-24-2012

The Corvette City Bop and Dance Club meets tonight at the F.O.P. for ages 21 and up. Find out more: 991-4040.

"9/29/12 HANDS (Housing Assistance and Development Services) is sponsoring a Free Homebuyer Education Class on September 29th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tomorrow Center in Bowling Green, Ky. September 29th is also the International Festival.

"10/6/12 South Central Kentucky Heart Walk & 5K Run will be at Kereiakes Park, Bowling Green, Ky. On October 6th 8:00 am with the walk and run starting at 9:00 am. There will be breakfast, silent auction, a Kids Zone, Dog Zone, health booths set up along with a award ceremony at the end. For more information contact Michelle Alloway at 270-846-5061."
