Wednesday, January 16th
Ms. Cheap from Nashville speaks at the Main Library today at 12 p.m. This is a free event, and you need to register here. Registrants will bring a brown bag lunch. Contact for more info:  reginah@warrenpl.org 781-4882.




Thursday, January 17th
From WKU News: Starry Tales for a Winter Night, a highly interactive experience designed to help you find your way around winter’s night skies, plays today at 7-8 p.m. at WKU’s Hardin Planetarium. Seating is first-come, first-served, and takes place 15 minutes before the show.

The WKU Chess Club meets today at 6 p.m. at the WKU Faculty House. You may want to bring your chess set with you. This is open to the public. Find out more: 918-809-6278.




Friday, January 18th
A Show Your Stuff show is at 7 at the Phoenix Theater to support the Public Theater of Kentucky. Find out more:  Show Your Stuff web page and the BG Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau page.




Saturday, January 19th
Lost River Cave has their Junior Naturalist Program today from 2-4 for children aged 6-12. You must re-register for this activity. 393-0077.

The 2013 Fur Ball to benefit the Humane Society is tonight at 6 p.m. at the Sloan Convention Center and continues until 11:59. Call 783-9404 for tickets and info.

From the WCVK Community Happenings page: "1/19/13 New Hope Church, 5710 Old Scottsville Road. Alvaton, Ky. Will be having a benefit singing for James “Mac” McClusky on Saturday, January 19th starting at 5:00 pm. The Spirituals from Edmonton and Living Proof from Bowling Green will be performing. For more information please call: Shari Scott at 270-842-5525."




Sunday, January 20th

Today is Six Dollar Sunday at the RailPark and Train Museum, the Kentucky Museum, Lost River Cave, the National Corvette Museum and Dinosaur World Sundays in January and also in February

Tuesday, January 22nd
SKyPAC is showing Monty Python's Spamalot today at 7:30 p.m.

The Sunny 16 Camera Club meets at the ALIVE Center from 7-9 p.m.

Thursday, January 24th
Depressed Anonymous support group meets at the ALIVE Center at 1818 31-W today at 1 p.m.

The Bowling Green Chocolate Blues, a business to business networking event, is today from 11-5 at the Nicely Center, BG. Networking charge is $10.00, Vendors pay $175.00. 615-339-6233.

The WKU PRISM Concert is today at 8-9:15 or 10:00 at WKU's Van Meter Hall VMH 0108. Tickets for the public are $10.00 each.

Elvis Lives! is showing at SKyPAC at 7:30 p.m. 904-1880.
